She’s Leaving Home Hits Headlines

We’re thrilled to announce our next show, She’s Leaving Home which previewed on Wednesday 31 May, has been hitting the national headlines.

The show, part of Sgt Pepper at 50, is being performed in a real living room in the Granby Area of the Liverpool 8 postcode. After this run of public performances, the show will continue on a tour into people’s living rooms across L8 until 18 June.

Created with Phelim McDermott (Improbable) the show is inspired by the track of the same title from The Beatles’ landmark Sgt Pepper album, and follows the story of a young woman and the tough decisions she has to make when the time comes for her to fly the nest. With our signature blend of live music (Cellist Semay Wu) and puppetry (Alison Duddle, Zoe Hunter) audiences can expect something magical.

We’ve had some fantastic national media coverage leading up to the show, including interviews with writer Keith Saha in The Telegraph, a full article on the BBC News Entertainment and Arts website and a segment on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row programme.

The show is almost sold out but there are still a few tickets up for grabs from The Unity Box Office including tickets for the Relaxed Performance (Tuesday 6 June, 2pm) and the BSL Signed Performance (Wednesday 7 June, 7pm).
