20 Stories High’s first ever Power Up! event:
‘If you build it they will come… possibly’ with Nickie Miles-Wildin
Where: LIPA Sixth Form
When: 6th March 2023
Time: 3pm-5pm
Power Up! is a new strand from 20 Stories High, exploring how we can all do better together, and how we can be more inclusive practitioners in the arts in terms of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Activism.
Join Nickie Miles-Wildin as she takes you through her journey as a Disabled woman working in theatre and radio. Nickie will lead you through a process to make your own work more creatively accessible. The workshop will also feature a performance by Paislie Reid, founder of The Black Actors’ Collective.
Whether you want to make your own work more accessible, want to understand how to support creative access as a theatremaker, producer or organisation, this is the workshop for you! These sessions are for freelance artists, small scale and large scale arts organisations, and anybody who is curious!
This event is priced on a sliding scale:
– Pay What You Can for Freelancers and non-regularly funded arts organisations
– £25 per person for larger organisations (guide)
Access & wellbeing: Please let us know if you have any questions or requirements, and we will be sure to build them into our planning.
