Free Online Anti-Racism Workshops with Inc Arts

We recently joined forces with Inc Arts, a leading anti-racism training organisation for the arts, to deliver two free online workshops for our wider community led by practitioners Carol Russell and Rachel Gnagniko over Zoom.

The first session on 28th February was for white participants, and explored anti-racism and how white people can unlearn their unconscious biases, learn how to be truly anti-racist, and become part of real change. Designed as a primer for individuals who had recently begun their anti-racism journey, it offered practical ways for participants to challenge racism both internally and externally. Inc Arts also shared wider resources for attendees to help them develop their understanding further after the session.

The second session on 7th March, called Surviving Racism, was aimed at individuals who have lived experience of racism, and was designed to offer a safe space for them to explore their experiences among like minded people as well develop understanding of of internalised racism, as well as the physical effects of racism on the body and mind.

Inc Arts are the creators of theĀ UNLOCK toolkit, a series of practical actions and tools designed to help organisations become more inclusive, and actively anti-racist. Sign up here.
