There’s just one week left of The Broke ‘N’ Beat Collective, our hip hop/puppetry mash-up created with Theatre-Rites in association with Unity Theatre. Check out what we’ve been getting up to across the UK in a round up of our Twitter buzz…
The tour kicked off at The Unity with some incredible reviews including 5 stars from the Liverpool Echo…
And the buzz spilled out onto the streets of LiverpoolONE shopping centre with amazing pop-up performances from our Youth Theatre…
In Birmingham, Concord Youth Centre were moved by Paper Girl’s story…
And in Manchester we inspired one audience member to take up beat boxing!
Over in Belfast one young audience member loved the show so much, he came to see it again…
And back in England, the team had to battle the elements to get to Rossendale…
We loved meeting new audiences in Canterbury…
And they seemed to love our urban vibes too…
The vibe at Stratford Circus, London was on another level with workshops from our Associate Artist, Nathan Crossan-Smith…
…jumping post-show jamming from students at NewVic College and New Young Voices Collective…
…and an insightful and packed out post-show discussion…
Our other Associate Artist, Rowan Watts, has been delivering puppetry workshops with groups across the country…
And let’s not forget the unsung heroes of touring theatre, our fab stage management team who have been working hard behind the scenes…
But another member of the team hasn’t been quite so hard-working, lapping up the sights between shows…
In fact he’s become quite the diva since becoming a star…
But people don’t seem to mind… he’s just so darned cute!
The Broke ‘N’ Beat Collective is on tour until Saturday 2 April 2016. For more information go to: www.20storieshigh.org.uk/shows
