Leanne has worked at 20 Stories High for 12 years and loves working closely with our youth theatre/young actors. She is a co-founder of Tell Tale Theatre, a local community theatre group. She is currently enjoying being a mum and loves most music ever made!

Lucy has worked with 20 Stories High since 2013 in varying roles! She enjoys eating good cakes and keeping the office tidy. Her favourite show of 20SH is BLACK.

Maisy (She/Her) is a disabled actor, writer and theatre maker from Liverpool who initially started working with 20 Stories High as an actor in High Times And Dirty Monsters. She is the Executive Producer at Tip Tray Theatre, a company dedicated to developing local artists. Her work focuses on lived experience, activism, community and new writing. She can usually be found listening to music, watching Doctor Who or looking for a cute dog to pet! She loves being a scouser and will 100% beat you at Mario Kart.

Leonisha Barley (she/her) is a lover of all things creative. She is an actress, playwright, spoken word artist and facilitator from Liverpool. Leonisha has enjoyed participating in 20 Stories High’s professional development programmes, whilst also working as Project Co-ordinator and Pastoral Support for 20SH Youth Theatre. She is excited to bring her skills and experience to the Assistant Producer role at 20 Stories High, as well as old skool playlists as background music in the office because all work and no play makes Jack…

David (he/him) joined 20 Stories High in 2024. He started out performing in youth theatre in Glasgow and has worked as a producer and manager in theatre, outdoor arts, visual arts and dance. He loves cooking, reading, music and introducing his two kids to art.

Amy joined 20 Stories High in 2008 as a young person in Youth Theatre. Since then Amy has remained part of the 20 Stories High community, coming to see shows and taking part in other vessels of the theatre. Today she is the Administrator for 20 Stories High.
Amy likes playing board games, writing and singing.

Donna has been working at 20 Stories High for 4 years as Youth worker, but has worked young people for over 15 years! Originally trained as an actor performing devised theatre that explores real-life stories relevant to young people, it was through this experience that Donna gained a real enthusiasm for working with children and young people, as well as
adults with learning difficulties. In her spare time, Donna is currently working on a one-women show based on her own life experiences. She also likes collecting miniature things and loves her crazy cat Jess.

Lemn Sissay is a poet, author and theatre maker and 20 Stories High’s first patron. The company have been talking with Lemn for a few years about their work and their shared connections; political, artistic and social.

Catrina was born in Liverpool and lived in London, Scotland and the North East before coming home to the best city on the world. She consults for lots of organisations helping them develop their strategies, organisations and teams. She loves music (and has a shrine to David Bowie in her house), visual arts, theatre, reading, yoga and walking for miles. She believes that creative expression makes people happier and life better and is always fascinated to hear other people’s stories.

Jennifer John is an award winning composer, singer/songwriter, music mentor and vocal coach. Her 30 year career within music spans the community, commercial and corporate sectors, and stands alongside her innovative work as a Creative Director specialising in the human voice. More recently she won the Liverpool City Region Individual Response to Covid-19 award for her global virtual choir creation, Love Sings, which involved 180 people from 15 different countries.

Ash (they/she) is an artist and access consultant from Salford. They focus on making and supporting work that aligns with their lived experience of being a disabled, queer, working-class arts and science nerd.​ Ash is a big supporter of 20 Stories High’s value “everybody’s got a story to tell… and their own way of telling it” and is over the moon to be a trustee!

When Ash isn’t advocating for Disability Justice and being an Artivist, they love to watch sci-fi from bed, read mythologies and get immersed in gig theatre and contemporary performance.

My name is Tia, I’m a 19 year old dual heritage actress, writer and singer/songwriter that’s currently studying Musical Theatre at LMA. I am a long-standing member of 20 Stories High Youth Theatre and also a young trustee for the company.

Actor/Director/Producer/Writer/Scouser! Kayleigh (she/her) started in 20 Stories High as a member of the Youth Theatre! She enjoys playing the tin whistle and watching cartoons on the couch! She is determined to make the theatre scene in Liverpool bigger, better, and more accessible for EVERYONE!

Matt was born in Liverpool and was involved in amateur theatre during his schooling years. After moving to London to Study at UCL School of Podiatric Medicine, he pursed a clinical career becoming an NHS Consultant in 2016. During his time in university he kept his passion for theatre by working in the West End as a lighting designer. In 2012 he was part of the Project Board that helped achieve Independent Prescribing for Physiotherpists and Podiatrists. His commitment to promoting health and well-being both clinically and through theatre is how he hopes to support the wonderful vision of 20 Stories High.

Liz has lived and worked in London for the last twenty years but was born and grew up in Rochdale. She is a creative and strategic cultural leader whose expertise lies in co-creation, community engagement, and developing the next generation of cultural and social leaders.

In her most recent role as ‘Director of Creativity and Social Change’ at Battersea Arts Centre she played a significant role in establishing the organisation as a leading voice for arts and social change. Liz led on the development and growth of the The Agency – a UK-wide social entrepreneurship programme. Liz is passionate about the civic role of arts organisations and loves Brazilian culture, cold water swimming and karaoke.

I trained as a lighting designer and moved on to production management. I am an experienced technical theatre specialist who has worked with diverse clients to deliver events that represent a broad cross section of culturally stimulating projects with over twenty years’ experience within the performing arts and live events industry. Leading a production management department in higher education utilising my knowledge and varied experience portfolio in production management, lighting design, event management, consulting and producing. 

Lisa is from Bolton, where she lives with her husband and daughter. She is the Co-Head of Culture at Touchstones art gallery and museum in Rochdale and Director of INDRA, an international peace building organisation for young people. Lisa has worked in the arts for over 25 years, and is a tenacious change maker that believes in the transformational power of the arts for everyone.

Zoe is a Venue Consultant with a focus on social value, sustainability, and inclusive design.

Before this she worked for a wide range of cultural organisations in the UK and SE Asia as a production, stage, and venue manager.

Recently she’s been working in human-led experience design, looking at how we think and feel when interacting with public space. Above all, her priority is making sure that communities are represented, and everyone feels welcome to engage with art and culture in our modern cities.

Peter is a born and bred Scouser. He previously worked for the Everyman & Playhouse
theatres where most recently was appointed as the organisation’s first Digital Producer. Prior to that, he worked in the Marketing team, overseeing the development of the Young Persons’ Membership programme. He now works for the Virtual Engineering Centre, an innovation lab that bridges the gap between technological academic research and new
product and process development.

The thing that kicked off his passion for theatre was joining Young Everyman Playhouse in 2012, so knows how important and life changing Youth Theatre can be for young people.

Rob has worked with 20 Stories High since 2019 and has been an arts and culture fundraiser for nearly 20 years, raising money for museums, festivals and music organisations – among many other things. You name it, he’s raised money for it! He’s from Merseyside but lives on an olive farm in Catalonia, Spain with his family, 6 goats, 3 sheep, 10 hens, a dog and a cat. Rob loves music and is absolutely obsessed with The Beatles.

Lee has worked as a strategic advisor to 20 Stories High since 2016, and is currently Programme Director for State of Mind – the company’s in-depth commitment to health and well-being.  She particularly likes working with the company because they live by the things they believe in – respect, compassion, inclusivity.  They also work really hard, make excellent work, and know how to laugh – which is really important…
