20 Stories High with Phelim McDermott (Improbable) are proud to announce a brand new show for Summer 2017 – She’s Leaving Home. Inspired by the legendary Beatles song, the show has been specially commissioned as part of Liverpool’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Researched and developed with young adults in Liverpool, the play will explore themes around home, housing and family.
Taking place in peoples living rooms in the Liverpool 8 area, She’s Leaving Home promises to be a breathtaking and intimate performance featuring local girl (and ex 20 Stories High youth theatre member) Brodie Arthur with puppetry by Zoe Hunter and music by internationally renowned cellist Semay Wu.
In addition local poet Curtis Watt will also be popping into peoples houses creating poetry and cooking food which will culminate in a platform event with debate, music and more food!
And finally, after being friends for many years, 20 Stories High are also chuffed to bits to be collaborating for the first time with the fantastic Phelim McDermott from Improbable. Expect something magical.
