Are you interested in singing, spoken word, making music or writing songs? Then this opportunity is for you!

Nu Noize is a brand new music project starting March 2026, for young people that brings music, storytelling and performance together through co-creation, mentorship and live sharings for all to enjoy!

There are three elements to our Nu Noize programme:

Weekly Sessions

Steering Group

Minigigs & Desk Jams

Read more about each below!

The programme aims to bring music to those aged 16-25, to allow people to experience, observe and participate in music offers that are geared towards developing music performances in theatre.

Weekly Sessions

12 Weekly Artist-Led Sessions – Starting 20th April 2026

Make beats, write lyrics, experiment with sound and instruments, and create original work inspired by your own stories and ideas. Selected participants will work closely with professional music leaders, with opportunities to perform and share work publicly.

Sessions are weekly on a Wednesday, 7-9pm.

Watch out for our performances at this year’s Youth Theatre show, Friday 24th July 2026 at the Unity Theatre!

Sign ups to this group are now closed, but if you’re interested in being part of our next project, please email leonisha@20storieshigh.org.uk

Steering Group

Join a team of young creatives helping shape NU NOIZE. Plan activities, make decisions, curate events and build skills in leadership, programming and the creative industries, with networking opportunities across the sector.

To apply, send an expression of interest to leonisha@20storieshigh.org.uk. This could be an email, video or audio recording. In your expression of interest, please introduce yourself, describe why you want to be part of Nu Noize Steering Group and what ideas you have for exciting music events in the city.

Minigigs & Desk Jams

Free, relaxed music events featuring original work made by young people and artists. Expect new voices and a supportive atmosphere, with chances to listen, watch or get involved. Events will pop up in familiar and unexpected places across the Liverpool City Region, from theatres, community spaces and online. Everyone is welcome!
