Celebrating 20 Years

2026 marks 20 years of 20 Stories High!

Over the past two decades, we’ve worked alongside thousands of young people, artists, audiences and communities to create bold, joyful and accessible theatre that reflects the voices and experiences of our city.

Our birthday year is a celebration of everything we’ve achieved together, while looking ahead to the future. Throughout the year, we’re sharing stories from our past, celebrating the people who have shaped our journey and creating opportunities for new voices to be heard.

As part of the celebrations, we’re releasing a series of 10 short films exploring who we are, what we do and the impact our work has had over the last 20 years. Keep an eye on our social media channels as each new film is released.

Alongside the films, our birthday year includes special events, performances, creative activities and opportunities to reconnect with the artists, young people, staff, trustees, partners and supporters who have been part of our story.
