We’re looking for Trans+ performers to workshop and perform in Fairy Fingers, a new verbatim performance piece exploring gender stereotypes and celebrating the individuality, creativity and power of being trans.

Created by writer‑director Joey Colasante in partnership with 20 Stories High, Felix Mufti and the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres as part of the Transformations Commissioning Programme, Fairy Fingers will spotlight the breadth and diversity of Trans+ experience. This project is supported by Arts Council England. 

We are seeking 4 Trans+ performers of any age, race or gender who can lip sync and move confidently. You’ll help develop the piece during R&D and take part in two industry sharings.

Fee: £770 total

Availability

• Auditions: Friday 16 October
• Research & Development Week: Monday 2 November – Friday 6 November
• Sharing 1: Friday 6 November
• Rehearsal for Sharing 2: Thursday 19 November
• Sharing 2: Friday 20 November

Location: All activity will take place in central Liverpool.

Audition Details

You’ll be asked to prepare a short piece (max 3 minutes) that demonstrates your ability to lip sync and move. This can be musical or dialogue‑based.

You do not need professional dance training, we simply want to see how you move.
