20 Years Of Stories, Creativity And Community

For two decades, we’ve been creating theatre with and for young people, championing stories that deserve to be heard and making space for creativity, connection and change.

What began in Liverpool in 2006, was Co-Founded by Keith Saha and Julia Samuels, and has grown into a vibrant community of young people, artists, audiences, partners and supporters. Together, we’ve created award-winning productions, toured nationally, developed new artists, challenged barriers to participation and worked alongside thousands of young people to tell stories that matter.

As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re reflecting on the people who have shaped our journey. The young people who have stepped into a workshop for the first time. The artists who have brought ideas to life. The audiences who have laughed, cried and connected with our work. The staff, freelancers, trustees, funders, donors and partners who have helped make it all possible.

Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing stories from across our history, celebrating memorable productions and shining a spotlight on the incredible people who have been part of the 20 Stories High journey.

While we’re proud of everything we’ve achieved together, this anniversary is also about looking forward. We remain committed to creating bold theatre, amplifying underrepresented voices and ensuring young people continue to have opportunities to create, lead and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story so far.

Here’s to the next chapter.

Happy 20th Birthday, 20 Stories High.
