Actor’s LAB is a professional development programme for emerging actors based in Liverpool City Region, supported by our venue partner the Bluecoat.
This year, six local actors will work with Director Ameera Conrad and Writer Billie Collins to develop their skills as performers, while becoming part of the early creative development of a potential new piece of theatre for young people aged 13–25, exploring the theme of Connection.
The programme combines practical actor training, ensemble work, research and development (R&D), mentoring and professional development.
The LAB is about development, experimentation and learning. You’ll have the opportunity to test ideas, explore themes and characters, work with new writing and develop your skills as both an individual actor and part of an ensemble.
