BBC Children in Need – Grant Success!

20 Stories High are delighted to announce that our recent application to BBC Children in Need was successful!

Over the next three years a grant of £81,000 will allow us to continue delivering theatre sessions, workshops and other activities for young people. Taking part in these projects enables children from 13 to 18 years old to develop new skills and knowledge, increases their self-confidence and self-esteem and encourages them to reach their potential.

Leanne Jones, Executive Director at 20 Stories High said:

“With this funding we’ll be able to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people from excluded communities in Liverpool. We’d just like to say a huge thank you to the people that have made this happen.”

The funding is for the staffing, trips, outings, activities and costs associated with all the activities we offer FREE to young people including;

  • outreach workshops in the community and schools
  • open workshops as an introduction to 20 Stories High
  • weekly Youth Theatre and Young Actors Company sessions and performances
  • monthly Future Collective meetings (our young person’s advisory group)
  • opportunities for other local groups to host and perform at our post show jams and showcase events
  • a residential in the third year to evaluate and develop the programme.
