A Private Viewing

Info

In ‘A Private Viewing’, an ‘estate agent’ greeted the waiting audience, and gave them a tour of a newly refurbished flat in a regeneration area. In estate-agent style, she gave them all the information needed for each room, but she remained oblivious to the ghosts of previous tenants coming to life as the audiences explored the flat. From an upper-class Australian boy writing home in the 1860s, to a mixed race couple struggling with racism in the 1960s, and lads in the street trying to get a penny-for-the-guy in 2008, the audience experienced a moving, thought-provoking, and entertaining picture of the changing area over the years.

Audiences came in groups of 6-10, and the youth theatre did a fantastic job of keeping in character only inches away from the audiences!
