20 Stories High are currently looking for new members to join their Youth Theatre! We're running two open workshops for young people aged 13 - 21 on Tuesday 13th December and Wednesday 11th Janaury at the Bluecoat, School Lane, L1 3BX

20 Stories High Youth Theatre are at the heart of everything we do.

We meet once a week in Liverpool and we have spaces for upto 25 young people. We don’t audition and we don’t charge a fee, we just ask that you show commitment to coming every week!

You will get to work with a range of professional artists, including beat-boxers, street artists, dancers, as well as the company’s artistic directors Keith and Julia.

In addition to being a Youth Theatre Member, you will also have opportunities to take part in the development of our Professional Touring show - it could be seeing work in progress and giving feedback, or working with the writers and actors to help develop the story and artforms.

20 Stories High are passionate about new writing. We believe “everybody has a story to tell and their own way of telling it it …”

Do you write lyrics or stories? Are you interested in writing a play? Or would you like to write a short film or storyboard or animation? Would you like to write a piece of theatre using just poetry or lyrics? Or maybe a play with no words and just movement?

You will be working with professional writers, directors and a Dramaturg (German word - roughly translated as “writers friend”) to have the opportunity to see your writing come to life and performed in front of an audience.

No experience necessary just a commitment to turning up and  exploring new ideas.

COMING 2012!

20 Stories High are about to launch a Young Digital group in partnership with Toxteth TV.

What does Young Digital Mean? If you are interested in film making, animation, video games or creating stuff for the web  then this is the place for you. We are seeking a group of 10 dedicated young people aged 13-21 to work with our professional digital artist to create exciting new films and digital projects. All of which will end up on 20 Stories High TV.

No experience necessary - just commitment, enthusiasm and an open, creative mind.

As well as our regular groups we also run workshops nationally  when we tour our shows.

There are a whole range of other projects that don’t fit into any box at all -  Halloween with the Liverpool Lantern Company, Giant Puppeteering at the Lord Mayors Parade or a  storytelling project in a hospital.
