And so the tour comes to an end!
We’ve had an amazing few weeks, and met some brilliant audiences…the boys’ schools in Manchester, the pro-choice activists in Belfast, the youth club in Rochdale, the medical students in London.
We’ve had such interesting conversations after the show with people with a range of opinions on abortion. The thing that has struck me most is how much people want to have this conversation…people want to hear what the experience of having an abortion is like, people want to test out their opinions and explore the grey areas…and some of the people who have had abortions want to talk about that and not keep it quiet like a shameful secret.
There have also been some extremely positive responses from partner organisations, and we are very hopeful that the show will have another life at some stage, so watch this space!
In the meantime, our final shows of this run are in our home city of Liverpool at LIPA and start appropriately, on International Women’s Day on Wed 8th March with 2 more shows on Thursday 9th March and Friday 10th March
