Guest Artist Nathan Explores Identity

We’re over the moon to have the fantastic Nathan Crossan-Smith back at 20 Stories High, this time working as guest artist with our Youth Theatre and Young Actors Company.

Over the next 6 weeks talented urban poet and young people’s theatre-maker Nathan will be exploring identity and gender with our young people looking at the times we celebrate and the times we hide who we are. Check out our gang moving as a ‘tribe’ in last nights workshop on the right!

Nathan has previously worked alongside our National Tour of The Broke ‘N’ Beat Collective delivering urban storytelling workshops up and down the country.

On his return he says:

“20 Stories High make work with young people like no-one else and I’m buzzing to be working with the mad talent in the room. It’s artistically important for me to be working with the range of experiences and backgrounds represented by the young people at 20 Stories High and I’m looking forward to collaborating with them to create a political piece: there’s a strong, nuanced and sensitive approach to politics embodied by 20 Stories High young people. I can’t wait to be jamming and creating with them.”

Thanks Nathan. We can’t wait to be jamming with you too!
